As stated in the previous post, we will be starting a series on Voice over IP (VoIP). Before we do this, I wanted to sum up our previous series on free anti-spyware software. Below is the various free anti-spyware softwares we covered, along with links to the posts. There you can find the websites to download those softwares and view some other reviews besides ours.

With that we have also uploaded an entire folder to the Advantage Membership area for you to download everything at once. In folder is included the one free anti-virus software we reviewed as well.

This week concludes my experimentation with various free anti-spyware programs. So as my concluding program I provide a review of Super Anti-Spyware.

I would have to say this worked about as good as any of the others, but I am still a fan of Microsoft Defender and Spybot S&D as far as freebies go.

To keep things short and to the point I have provided the download link above and a video tutorial and review below. Please feel free to make your own decisions based on your own requirements. I plan on running Super Anti-Spyware along with others.

Spybot Search and Destroy (SBSD) is one of the most popular free anti-spyware softwares available on the web. We have downloaded it and it found spyware that other versions have missed, although most where harmless cookies and the like.

Most reviews of SBSD show that this free anti-spyware software is liked by most techies, but most seem to agree it should be used in conjunction with other anti-spyware. We recommend this as well.

Just as with other free software, like free anti-virus software, we install different versions on our computers and run scans using all, once a week. However, I recommend only running one software version at a time.

As with the free anti-virus software we covered last week, give yourself some time for the scan to run using SBSD.

After you download and install, we recommend you view the embedded video. We followed the video step by step and it is very good and will help tremendously. Don’t panic if his screen for Spybot S&D is a little different, you still have the same options as the video shows. Watch it, pause it, execute the steps and continue until finished.
