Satellite television is television delivered by way of orbiting communications satellites located 37,000 km above the earth’s surface. The first satellite television signal was relayed from Europe to the Telstar satellite over North America in 1962. The first domestic North American satellite to carry television was Canada’s Anik 1, which was launched in 1973.

People realize they need not struggle with monthly TV bills when they start to watch satellite TV on computer. It is not an understatement as many satellite TV viewers do pay a huge chunk of their bills to the local TV service providers. You really cannot blame the providers for the kind of bills they are charging. After all, a lot of times, TV viewers got themselves to be blamed for choking up long hours of TV view time with pay-per-views and LIVE broadcasts that simply ramp up the charges. Yet, we need to be sympathetic towards the TV viewers. Everyone wants to watch satellite TV and enjoy hours of TV entertainment without the pain of paying large bills. So it seems that to watch satellite TV on computer is the solution to this dilemma.

Dish Network is one of two of the satellite television providers in the country. They offer five basic packages; Dish Family, America’s Top 100, America’s Top 200, America’s Top 250, and finally the Everything Pak. The most basic package features some of the best ‘family-friendly’ channels. You can also choose to add local channels such as NBC. FOX, and ABC for a few extra dollars a month. The majority of customers rarely go for the most basic of packages, Dish Family.
